Privacy Policy
Effective 5 May 2026. This document explains what personal information Skyforma Logistics Sdn Bhd collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have under Malaysian law.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Skyforma Logistics Sdn Bhd, a company incorporated in Malaysia (Co. Reg. 202401059284 (1547826-D)) with its registered office at Level 14, Menara Etiqa, Jalan Pinang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. Where we refer to "we", "us" or "Skyforma", we mean this entity.
2. What information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, or run a shipment for you. That typically means:
- Contact details you provide: name, business name, email, phone number, address.
- Shipment information you share: origin, destination, commodity, weight, dimensions, special handling notes.
- Records of correspondence with our team, including emails, WhatsApp messages and call notes.
- Limited technical information collected automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is collected by the web server logs and any cookies you accept (see the cookie policy).
3. Why we collect it
We collect this information to:
- Reply to your enquiries and prepare quotes.
- Carry out freight, brokerage and warehousing services we have agreed to provide.
- Comply with Malaysian customs, tax and statutory recordkeeping requirements.
- Improve our website and the quality of our service — only ever using aggregated, non-identifying data for this.
- Send you the occasional service update if you have asked us to. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
4. Who sees your information
Inside Skyforma, only the team members who actually need your data have access to it — typically planners, brokers, and the warehouse manager for the relevant facility. Outside Skyforma, we share data only with:
- Carriers, port operators and customs authorities for shipments you have asked us to handle.
- Our cargo insurance provider, where claims are involved.
- Auditors, regulators or law-enforcement authorities where required by Malaysian law.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with marketing networks.
5. How long we keep it
Shipment and brokerage records are kept for seven years to meet Malaysian tax and customs retention requirements. General enquiry correspondence is kept for three years from the last contact, then deleted unless you have asked to remain on our mailing list.
6. Where the data is held
Our primary records sit in Malaysia. Email and shared-document services run on cloud infrastructure with regional datacentres in Singapore. Cross-border transfers are subject to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and we apply contractual safeguards with all overseas processors.
7. Your rights under the PDPA
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia you can:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Withdraw your consent for us to process your data, where we relied on consent.
- Object to direct marketing — we will action this immediately.
Send any requests to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 21 days.
8. Security
We protect your data using a mix of physical, technical and organisational controls. Access is limited by role. Servers are kept patched. Backups are encrypted at rest. No system is ever immune to incident — if a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commissioner promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the effective date at the top and post a brief note on the contact page. Day-to-day clarifications may be made without notice.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy can go to the Skyforma data lead at [email protected], or by post to the registered office above.
